CTMH Workshops on the Go: Victory Bonus Layout

We have us some Rough n Tumble boys...love the outdoors and everything BOY!  So we went for a family fishing excursion (last year).  I won't bore you with all the silly stories and details that went along with it...but thankfully, we did actually manage to catch some catfish and boy were they YUMMY!  I took so many pictures, I kept procrastinating scrapbooking them...having to ween them down to just a few?

But with our new Victory Collection, I couldn't wait to jump in and play with these photos...maybe it was fate, that's why I hadn't scrapbooked them before (or I'm just really good at justifying my procrastination!)

Fortunately, more flip flaps to the rescue!  I was finally able to scrapbook our Fishing pictures, woohoo!

Victory Cards and More!

Once I complete my layouts, I always have a pile of scraps leftover...and waste not, want not!  So I dug up some of these extra acrylic pieces left over from a Mix n Mingle Project (Z1334) and created little Pride Plaques for my boys!

If you haven't already gotten it, can I just say how FABULOUS our Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge is?  CTMH has made so many fabulous new products that coordinate with the shapes on the cartridge AND, you can even look back at some of our "pre-Cricut" products and find they match as well!  Just like the Mix N Mingle pieces below, I was able to find shapes to match and cut them on the Cricut...add a little glue, and wallah, I have a finished project!
The cork shapes, "Local Legend" and "Triumph" are part of our Tough Tags (Z1692) collection, self-adhesive and ready to go!  I kept a small piece of the backing on the left side of the tag since I had it hanging over the side, that way "sticky" isn't exposed.  Another option is to dust it with baby powder to get rid of the exposed sticky!

Now for the cards...quick and easy!  I used our new Durables Studs Square Assortment (Z1705) which includes 2 sizes in both pewter and antiqued gold, for only $3.95!!  Also, some of our twine and the Evergreen Cork Shapes (Z1719) to add a little texture.  Just stamp right on them and they're ready to go!!!

The leather accent circle is also from our Tough Tags collection!  So many cool pieces!!

Gotta play with the Cricut a little more, so created this little box and card, cut direct from the cricut then lightly embellish!  These are the last 2 of the Tough Tag shapes (so 5 of the 6 on this post and the 6th one was used on the top of the Card Box in my previous post).

Another Binder Clip, to close the treat box, a little twine and a zip strip!  All remnants just waiting to be used...I love coming up with cute things out of scraps!!

Victory Card Box

Our My Creations Card Boxes (Z1647) have been so popular, for storing and gifting cards, photos, mini-albums and so much more...the creativity and possibilities are endless!

While playing with the Victory collection, I created several cards and decided a Card Box would be an appropriate match to this collection!
Our new Tough Tags Assortment (Z1692) is a great companion to the Victory papers and includes a medley of textures, making it really easy to create artwork with different effects!  On this box, I used one of the canvas tags, which are fully self-adhesive.  I was able to take advantage of the adhesive on the tag and use it to attach one of our new Binder Clip Foundry Accessories (Z1711).  So the binder clip looks like it's hold the tag, but in reality, it's the adhesive on the tag holding the Binder clip!

Our new Pewter Badge Buttons (Z1704) became a quick favorite!  And don't be like me...I thought they were part of our designer brad collections, but nope...these awesome embellies are self-adhesive, making it an easy add-on to the front of my card box!
I also mixed in some of our Victory Stickease shapes and for an extra bit of texture, used a cork star from our new Evergreen Cork Shapes (Z1719).  To add a little something, I also used our Ruler and Piercing Tool to add a frame of holes along the border.  And don't forget our fabulous Zip Strips that are included on the top of each of our patterned papers, the green "ribbon" look around the box is actually a Zip Strip cut from the top of a Victory Paper!

CTMH Workshops on the Go: Victory

I jumped right into playing with this new kit...love the colors and I already had several events I knew I would use this collection to capture!

For starters, I completed the Workshop on the Go Layout, with a few minor changes...mostly the Title and adding some Flip Flaps so I wouldn't have to cut back on the number of photos I wanted to use!

Our friend, Gino (founder of Tomorrow's Hunter, a non-profit organization), gave our boys their first lesson in shooting a gun!  They absolutely loved it and thankfully, hubby snapped almost 100 photos of their lessons!  YEAH, tons for me to play with!!

Have I mentioned how much I love our Flip Flaps?  The ability to add plenty of photos without making the layout cluttered or busy, the versatility of them and not to mention the fabulously low price point!  Gotta have my flip flaps...AND stay tuned, Close to My Heart just introduced NEW 6x6 Flip Flaps...I'll be playing with those soon!!
