I'll start with the crop room, since (let's be honest), that's the most important room for a crafty getaway!! Here is a "rarely" captured photo of me actually scrapbooking, lol!!
Each station (14 of them) is equipped with a comfy office chair, desk mat, lamp, garbage pail and shelves!
Plenty of tools available for use, to include Cricut Expression, Cricut Explore, and Sizzix. Plus Close to My Heart and Stampin' Up Inks, punches and bins of other miscellaneous tools, stamps, blocks and more! I confess, I overpacked (although I think 90% of us do)...but now that I've been there, I know I can cut my toolbags way down!
The TV is internet connected so you can access Pandora for music, Netflix, etc.
The dining room is right off the crop room next to the kitchen and very spacious! Plenty of seating, plus a coffee bar in the back corner with Kuerig and wetbar for easy coffee making! (the door on the left leads out to the balcony)
Seriously, this coffee bar got a lot of use during our visit!! Love that it was so easy to refill the kuerig from the wetbar and was out of the way so as not to clog up the kitchen.
TIP: bring Ziplock bags and plastic containers to store/transport any leftovers you have. We chose to dine out most evenings for dinner and everyone did their own thing for breakfast/lunch (although with our group we had WAY TOO MUCH food, lol!)
The front entry has a nice sitting area (only partially pictured in this photo) if you're looking for a comfy, quiet place to read or relax.
The retreat is actually located right off the main road...but you wouldn't know it from the retreat center! Quick and easy access to the restaurants, breweries, distilleries, shopping and adventures that can be found in the local area but with a sense of peace and quiet surrounding the facility!
Here's that back deck I mentioned earlier! You can access it from the dining room and from the crop room! We visited in October, so enjoyed some amazing weather that was perfect for outside relaxing with a cup of coffee or glass of wine!
There are 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms (even a handicapped accessible one), 14 beds (no bunks)!! And we're not talking hotel facilities here...we're talking about beautifully decorated plush accommodations (to include ceiling fans, night stands, lamps and power strips)!! Visit the Engage website to see even better pictures of the rooms and accommodations!!
If you're looking for a crafty getaway, Engage A Creative Retreat is THE place to be!! You can book the facility for a private retreat, or contact the owner about a mixed retreat! Our group had an amazing time! Not only crafting, but we also took the time to explore the local area with brewery tours, shopping, distillery tours and of course dinner at the Salt Lick!
Here are some photos to share our shenanigans as we "home-based" at Engage A Creative Retreat...we all got tons of crafting done, but also enjoyed a rare opportunity to get out and experience the local area with a group of friends! I highly recommend booking your creative retreat and enjoying some quality friend time!
