This
is the 3rd project from the Seas the Day Cardmaking Workshop. This card
uses the “kissing technique” to create the underbelly of the whale. You’ll ink
the whale stamp with Sapphire ink, then press the top of the un-inked shell
stamp (mounted on a block) to the underbelly of the whale stamp, which removes
that small semi-circles of ink from the whale before stamping on the
cardstock!
Then
you’ll use a combination of "2nd generation" and “rock & roll
technique” to create the shell image with a darker outer edge. Ink the
shell stamp and stamp off on scrap paper leaving “2nd generation” ink, then
roll only the edges of the stamp in ink again, giving the edge a darker shade.
Use the materials in the Seas the Day Cardmaking Workshop kit and the easy-to-follow instructions to create 16 standard size cards, 4
each of 4 designs. The workshop includes
an exclusive B-size stamp set with coordinating Thin Cuts, as well as assembly instructions featuring three stamping techniques: kissing, rock & roll and
second-generation stamping.
