Each
year Close to My Heart has their convention to showcase new products, teach
consultants and foster relationships. As much as I love seeing the
exciting new products and learning new information…my FAVORITE part of
attending convention is the time spent with all of my girlfriends I’ve met
through the years attending Convention!! I am so blessed with the beautiful
women I’ve met at the CTMH events who have become very dear friends of mine,
despite living in different states and even countries!
I’m
really looking forward to this years convention to see my wonderful friends and

Just
in time for fun summer trips…and of course our upcoming Close to My Heart

This

instructions, creating these layouts is a snap!

Combining
the Magical Papers with the Sassy Pants stamp make for some fun projects!
I love using up my leftover scraps from my scrapbook pages for
cardmaking, and I think this one turned out pretty great…hard to believe it’s
just scraps! I added the Red and Black shimmer trim to spice it up and a
bit of doodling around the images.
Sad that 5 of our shimmer trim colors
are retiring at the end of July, thankfully these 2 colors aren’t on the
retirement list, but we’ll be losing our Bronze (shedding real tears here!),
Blue, Pink, Teal and Purple! If you don't have these colors in your
personal stash, I recommend getting them while you still can!! Shimmer trim really is an easy way to add a little “dressing” to your projects!!

Seriously, how cute is this little “Bundle of
Joy” image from the Georgie complements…fabulous for a layout, baby gift or
card!! The enamel gems and foil tape add a simple bit of bling to the
card!

This Sangria card was created using the Make It
From Your Heart, Volume 2, Pattern 28. The chevron strip is one of the “zip
strip” 1/4” pieces found at the top of all the CTMH patterned papers…cut it off
and you have a fabulous embellishment to go on your projects!

I
FINALLY learned how to use the Cricut Explore that I bought quite a while
back!!! Seriously, old-dog, new tricks…it was just easier to stick with
the Cricut machines I know than to “learn” something new…of course, now that
I’ve had my Explore lesson, I’ve come to realize the error of my ways, lol!
My fabulous teacher, Joy Tracey from ObsessedWithScrapbooking.com assigned
homework to make sure I understood Design Space…so here is the resulting
layout!
I
actually used the Cricut Design Space and Explore to cut all of the pieces,
including the squares, just for the fun of seeing it all designed and ready to
go!!
Learning
more new tricks, my daughter taught me how to easily create a time-lapse video
of assembling projects…so after I designed and cut this layout, she assembled
it creating a video for me!! I’ll have more videos to share in the future
now that I’ve learned how easy it is!!!
