CTMH Heartstrings Scrapbook Layout

The CTMH Heartstrings collection just screams love, romance and Valentines Day, but when I sat down to create a layout I wanted something a little less romance and a little more everyday fun and memories.  I think this layout with the "Love These Moments" sentiment can be easily used for any fun day with my family without it having to be a "romantic" set of pictures!


The layout pattern is from Make It From Your Heart, Volume 2, Pattern 03.

I wanted to use cardstock to give a little space between the patterned papers, but a big chunk of plain cardstock is just, well, plain!  So I grabbed our Arrow EmbossingFolder to give the Hollyhock cardstock a little oomph.

Then a combination of the Heartstrings Complements, Assortment and Stuck on You Puffies with some White Shimmer Trim and 3D Foam Tape finished up the layout.

CTMH Heartstrings Love Card

So maybe I'm a little "old-school", but I so love this little typewriter complement!!  Super cute to my way of thinking.

I used the Make It From Your Heart, Volume 2, Pattern 20, along with the CTMH Heartstrings collection for this card.  The chevron/heart paper is super cute and makes a great backdrop for my favorite complement!!  I used the Love badge button from the Heartstrings Assortment to act as my sentiment, then a sprinkling of Stuck On You heart puffies and a touch of White Shimmer Trim give me the "bling" I so regularly need!

CTMH Heartstrings My Heart Card

A romantic spin on our Heartstrings collection, using the Roses and Hearts as a backdrop, with a beautiful heart sentiment from the Heartstrings Complements, this card is good any time of the year to let your favorite person know you love them!

This card started out from Make It From Your Heart, Volume 2, Pattern 20, but I tweaked it a little so it may not quite look like that pattern.  I used our Thin 3D Foam Tape to add dimension to the card elements without making it too bulky, then finished off with some White Shimmer Trim and the Stuck On You Puffies to give it a little bling!

CTMH Heartstrings Crush Card

The NEW Close to My Heart Heartstring collection is just "adorbs" (as my daughter would say)!  I love the color combination of Hollyhock, Lagoon, Cranberry & Whisper…Hollyhock being my FAVORITE color does make me a little biased!  But the colors, arrows, hearts, newsprint….oh my, it's definitely tugging on my heartstrings!  Perfect for our upcoming celebrations for Valentines, whether you're making cards, treats of gifts…this paper will make the recipient feel cherished!

I used the Make It From Your Heart, Volume 2, pattern 28 for this card and was pretty proud of myself for thinking to scatter the arrow puffies from the Stuck On You collection onto the arrow paper!


I used  a double strip of the White Shimmer Trim as a base for the arrows zipstrip (1/2" embellishment strip included on all CTMH patterned papers).  Then used our thin and regular 3D foam tape to layer the heart complements and a badge button from the assortment.

I love the versatility and color combination of our CTMH Snowhaven collection!!  We don't typically get snow here, but this layout will work with any collection of pictures celebrating time together.

CTMH Snowhaven Card in a Box

I've seen so many of these fabulous Card in a Box projects, that I had to give it a try!  The Snowhaven Complements are chipboard images, which worked perfectly as the pop up pieces for my Card in a Box! 


It even folds flat for the envelope with no problem!

CTMH Snowhaven Winter Scrapbook Layout

Happy New Year!!!
I hope 2015 is filled with beautiful memories, fabulous artwork and countless blessings!!

 Love the colors in this collection (Cranberry, Black, Whisper, Glacier, and White) and how prettily they go together.  In Texas, we don't always get the Twirling, Swirling Snowflakes…but we do get cold-to-us weather, which involves lots of bundling and attempts to stay warm & cozy!


This layout was designed from the Make It From Your Heart Volume 1, Pattern #7.
