CTMH Chalk It Up Amaze Me Card

Here's another quick card using my scraps and remaining embellishments.  I used our new Flaxen card stock for the base of this card, along with our Chevron embossing folder to give it a little texture!  The pattern is Geometric from the Wishes pattern book and made it super easy to use up more of the scraps from my paper pack.  I alternated the chipboard stars from the Complements with the puffy sticker stars from the Assortment, and added a few of the Chevron Sparkle Shapes to give it the "bling"!

CTMH Chalk It Up Lookin' Good Card

The Chalk It Up complements included these chipboard glasses, while the Chalk It Up Assortment had these puffy glasses stickers…add in the "Lookin' Good" chipboard piece and it all seemed meant to be!  So using the CTMH Wishes pattern book -- Lucky Layers pattern, some of my scraps, my ever-present shimmer trim and a few of the White Enamel Stars…wallah, a card was made!

CTMH Chalk It Up Inspirational Card

The Chalk It Up Complements have so many fabulous pieces for card making!!  I really liked this sentiment, "Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try!" and immediately knew I'd be using it for a card!!

The pattern is Stay Left from the Wishes pattern book.  Just a small piece of teal shimmer trim to bling it up, and a little 3D Foam Tape to layer the chipboard pieces, this card was super fast!

CTMH Chalk It Up Scrapbook Layout

Chalk It Up is our newest school-themed collection!  Fortunately, it is also very versatile in the paper patterns and color scheme, allowing you to really play with it!  The Chalk It Up Complements are chipboard images, which I love because they provide the extra dimension to the layout without foam tape, etc.  The Complements do include "First day of school" pieces, but I decided to use the "This is going to be a wonderful year" on this layout, giving me the flexibility to use it for school, new years, or really any "start" to a new year/season!

Of course I followed a CTMH pattern to create the layout, I don't have that instant knack for making pretty things come together or for figuring out layout patterns.  This pattern is from the CTMH Magic pattern book using the "Out of the Hat" pattern.

I used lagoon ink to distress and pop the photo mats.  Then "bling"ed it with our Chevron Sparkle Shapes and a few of our White Enamel Stars.  I really enjoyed putting this layout together and love the finished results!  Now to decide on the photos...

CTMH Picture My Life Pocket Scrapbooking

Close to My Heart now as 13 fabulous Picture My Life scrapbooking programs!

The Picture My Life collections are designed to help you quickly organize and preserve approximately 250 photos, but you can use more or fewer cards and photos to create an album that's picture-perfect!

Happy CTMH New Year!

It's almost a New Year…well, with Close to My Heart it is…so out with the old and in with the new…new products that is!

I spent the last week of June at Disneyland attending the Close to My Heart annual convention!!  I love that with CTMH, not only can we work hard (although it's always crafting fun, lol)…we also know how to play hard!  Our Directors Dinner included a reserved section to watch the World of Color show at California Adventure and time for some fun!  We also enjoyed an early arrival for our travel day, and spent it with friends exploring Disneyland…such a fun trip!!!


Our convention was an absolutely amazing event complete with entertainment, food, training, inspiration and friends…what more could you ask for?!! 

Oh yes, and NEW products!!  Over 250 NEW products actually, isn't that amazing!!!  That's more than most companies have in their full catalog!

CTMH Ivy Lane Ring Box

My final Secret Sister gift was a pretty, blingy necklace delivered in a decorated CTMH My Creations Ring Box.  I used our Ivy Lane paper, purple shimmer trim, silver glitter paper and purple gems.

The butterflies were cut from our Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge in our silver glitter paper.  I'm definitely not a Cricut expert, so I don't do much with changing the dials on my cricut, I much prefer to cut and adjust as needed.  Fortunately, the CTMH glitter paper cuts like butter even when I leave my settings like I'm cutting card stock!  I think these butterflies are what really make these boxes rock!!

The inside of the boxes are empty to allow you to fill with your treasure of choice!

For presentation purposes, I didn't want the necklace just laying (and bouncing) at the bottom of the box, so I created a holder to keep the necklace in place.

Using a 4x4 piece of card stock, I scored 1" on all 4-sides, then cut 1" in on each of the 4 corners.  This allowed me to fold the ends in and place inside the box, with the chain at the bottom and the locket raised up on this simple platform.

I snipped about 1/2" diagonally on the 2 upper corners to wrap the necklace into place (hindsight, I probably should have done a small hole punch for the chain to feed through, but it worked).
