CTMH Chalk It Up Star Student Card

This Chalk It Up card follows the pattern from Make It From Your Heart Vol 2 #21.  The Chalk It Up Complements have so many fabulous pieces that work for layouts or cards…and this is yet another of them!  How great will this card be to give your special student a "hi-five" note?!  I'm still in love with the doodling…it makes plain cardstock "pop"!

CTMH Chalk It Up My Sunshine Layout

This Chalk It Up layout was created for me by my dear friend Susan Williams.  She is so super talented and always inspires me!  We were both working on projects at the same time…in separate states…and I love seeing how different our projects came out!

The Close to My Heart Chalk It Up collection would be categorized as "school-themed", but this layout would be fitting for just about any photos of that special person or persons in your life!

The pattern is Magician's Choice from the Magic pattern book.  The puffy stickers from the Chalk It Up Assortment, despite their tiny size, add big detail to the layout!  I also tend to be partial to the gold polka washi tape…love me some dots!!  The title and sun were cut from the Cricut Artbooking collection.
A recent trend, that I'm finding I'm doing a whole lot more….doodling!  I love how this inexpensive and simple technique really completes the layout!

CTMH Chalk It Up Friendship Card

I love the color combination of the Chalk It Up line and that it can so easily be used for masculine or feminine creations!!  This Chalk It Up card follows the pattern from Make It From Your Heart Vol 2 #23.  The sentiment is from the You Mean the World to Me stamp set (B1467).  The sentiment was paper-pieced with Flaxen cardstock to give it color and help it pop off the card!  The "ribbon" strips on the upper right of the card are from the zipstrip at the top of the Chalk It Up paper.

CTMH Chalk It Up Birthday Card

This Chalk It Up birthday card follows the pattern from Make It From Your Heart Vol 2 #28.  The sentiment is from the You Mean the World to Me stamp set (B1467), which includes 3 additional sentiments that are perfect for cards and gifts:  Thanks So Much, It's Your Day, and You Mean the World to Me!

Are you falling in love with the doodling?!  Truly adds that "something" to the card!!  The Chalk It Up Assortment of puffy stickers takes me back to childhood…I remember loving puffy stickers and putting them all over my notebooks for school!!

CTMH Chalk It Up Mini-Album

At our Close to My Heart convention, we created this mini-album using the Chalk It Up Picture My Life 4" x 6" cards.  We added 4x6 Kraft cardstock into the mix, along with some stamping and embellishing, for a quick and easy mini-album!

CTMH designed and added this exclusive card to the mix to commemorate our 2014 Convention:
We used the Bitty Sparkles and the Chalk It Up Assortment of puffy stickers throughout the mini-album, with black cardstock for our photo mats.  The Here We Go stamp set (D1600) provided the stamped airplanes, arrows and chevrons.  I punched my holes after I took the pictures and added rings and ribbon  to keep it together.

QUICK TIP:  Punch your holes FIRST, then embellish the mini-album…that way you don't mistakenly put things in the way of the holes!

CTMH Chalk It Up Artbooking Mini-Album

After creating my Chalk It Up layouts and cards, I still had some of the chipboard complements and papers available…so decided to play with Artbooking and make this mini-album to capture the boys first day of school, their goals for the year and whatever other tidbits they decide to add-in after their 1st day of school!

The album was cut using the Cricut Artbooking Collection at 6", I have a Cricut Craft Room file available on my website if you'd like to recreate the mini-album.

School Days Crush?!  I am truly in love with my journaling pen!  It adds so much to "plain" cardstock to make it pop!!  I really resisted, but seriously have no self-control…it just looks better with doodles!!

I used more of the Gold Polka Washi (Z1920), seriously, it comes with 15 yards…I'll be using this for a while!  I also added my beloved Shimmer Trim (Z1918), because it just goes great on any project…and with 5 yards, it lasts!!  And sprinkled the White Enamel Stars (Z2010) on some of the pages…scrap your stash!
